We’ve always been keen to understand what our readers enjoy about Quids in! magazine, so it was really exciting to meet up with a few readers at an open event held in Bath in February. The message that came across to us loud and clear was: “keep doing what you’re doing, we love it”. Quids in! magazine was described as “trustworthy”, our randomly-selected readers liked the “plain English” and even thought it would be worth paying a pound for if it was on sale!
The next issue of Quids in! will feature all the usual range of financial inclusion topics, served up in our own inimitable style. We’ll be looking at employability, with a particular emphasis on the young in our Top Tips For Finding A Job feature.
We’ll be explaining credit ratings and how they can impact on your finances, as well as looking at ways to establish your identity (crucial for opening a bank account for example), and we’ll be taking a look at the latest furore over debt management companies and asking what the best ways to deal with debt are. We’re also talking about gambling – we don’t want to be the fun police, but there is a growing problem out there that our readers should know about.
We’ve also started work on the 4th edition of our New Tenants Guide. A 32-page publication aimed at people taking up or considering a new tenancy, it covers all the fundamentals of money management required to make a success of renting a home. More information can be found here or get in touch and we can send you a sample in the post.
All of that plus the usual news, opinion, tips and recipe – how do we fit it all in to just 8 pages? Honestly, we don’t know.
Quids in! 23 will be available from the 23rd May, your last chance to order is 14th May so if you haven’t already placed your order (or for more information) please get in touch via email.
