NatWest SE100 list celebrates UK’s best and brightest social enterprises, with Clean Slate becoming a regular feature
Clean Slate Training & Employment celebrates its fourth consecutive year on the NatWest SE100 list of UK’s most impressive social enterprises. Winners were announced last week and celebrated by NatWest at their special awards evening in London, 16 July.
SE100 is an annual awards program delivered by Pioneers Post in partnership with NatWest. It recognizes social businesses whose innovative solutions create positive and sustainable change. The list highlights these businesses based on criteria that measure both profit and purpose.
“We are really proud to have made it into the SE100 once again- four consecutive years!” says Lisa Woodman, Head of Business Development at Clean Slate. “Despite a challenging funding environment, we continue to support thousands of people who are on low incomes across the UK, helping them to maximise their income and reduce their outgoings, ultimately moving people away from poverty, one person at a time.”
The SE100 was set up by Tim West, founding editor and CEO of the social enterprise magazine Pioneers Post, who partnered with NatWest bank’s independent charity, Social & Community Capital, over a decade ago.
Tim West, said: “Where they see challenges to society or our environment, not only are these social businesses finding effective solutions but they are building approaches that mean their impact can be sustained and often scaled in the long term.”
Victoria Papworth, CEO of NatWest Social & Community Capital, praised the recipients, saying: “We celebrate the innovation and dedication of this year’s SE100 list. These amazing social enterprises are more than businesses; they’re real-life examples of how an unwavering commitment to social change can make a real difference.
