Clean Slate Training & Employment Becomes Key Delivery Partner for WorkWell Programme in Bristol
Clean Slate Training & Employment has been confirmed as a key delivery partner for WorkWell West, a pilot programme offering specialised support to people with long-term health conditions or disabilities struggling to find employment or succeed in work.
Starting this spring, WorkWell West will refer residents in Bristol struggling to remain in or return to the workforce due to health challenges to Clean Slate, who will deliver one-to-one money coaching and employment support through its money guidance initiative, Quids in!.
A Holistic, Person-Centred Approach
In Bristol, WorkWell West is delivered in partnership with Bristol City Council, the NHS, and a broad network of voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations, now including Clean Slate. Their involvement is supported by the VCSE Brokerage Framework, a new initiative that channels investment into local health and wellbeing services through funding from Integrated Care System (ICS) health and social care partners.
Anna Dietrich, Clean Slate’s Regional Lead for the West of England and ambassador for the VCSE Brokerage Framework, shared her thoughts on the partnership:
“In partnership with the NHS, the VCSE Alliance in BNSSG is enhancing health and wellbeing across Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire—recognising financial resilience as a key component of overall wellbeing. At Clean Slate, we’re proud to be a delivery partner of WorkWell, playing our part in building a more compassionate system that truly sees and supports the whole person.”
Tailored Money Guidance to Build Resilience and Job Readiness
WorkWell West will accept referrals from individuals facing health-related work or unemployment challenges. A team member will then match them with a Quids in! Coach, who will provide 1:1 support over the next five to six weeks. Coaches will use the Quids in! Job Readiness Quiz, an employment-focused version of the award-winning Future-Proof Finance Quiz, to assess participants’ financial resilience and job readiness, and create tailored action plans to overcome barriers to employment.
About WorkWell
WorkWell West is one of fifteen pilot schemes launched by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC), covering the Integrated Care Board area for Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. The initiative is expected to support around 60,000 people across England by offering early, tailored help to overcome health-related employment barriers. It also provides guidance to employers on creating supportive workplaces.
