The Mid & South Wales Financial Wellbeing Forum is one of three regional forums delivered across Wales as part of the Wales Financial Wellbeing Forums programme.
Alongside North Wales and West Wales, it forms part of a national approach developed by the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) to strengthen skills, knowledge and confidence across the financial wellbeing and money guidance sectors. Clean Slate Training & Employment CIC leads the Mid and South Wales forum, in partnership with Megan Meeke of Welfare Training Wales.
Why the forum exists
The forums exist to bring people together and make the work stronger.
They connect practitioners, specialists, managers, and strategy and policy leads to create collaborative, local learning communities. The focus is on sharing insight, building confidence, and improving how support is delivered on the ground.
Across a programme of regular sessions, both online and in person, the forums create space to:
- learn from what’s working in different areas
- explore common challenges
- share updates and practice
- build more joined-up support across services
It’s practical, informed by frontline experience, and rooted in collaboration.
What’s happening this year
We’ve already delivered two sessions in Mid and South Wales, bringing together organisations from across the region to share insight and build connections.
There are further sessions planned, including an upcoming All Wales Financial Wellbeing Forum 2026, hosted by the Money Guiders Wales Network.

Joining the forum
You’re very welcome to get involved.
Signing up to a forum session automatically adds us to the mailing list, so you’ll hear first about upcoming events, including webinars and in-person sessions throughout the year. Forum members can also share updates, connect with others across the sector, and receive useful follow-up resources after each session.
Whether you’re working locally or nationally, the forum is open to anyone with a role in improving financial wellbeing.
