The future of digital comms with social purpose
📅 Date: 6th March, 2025
As the digital-first agenda reshapes the world around us, this webinar explored the future of digital communications with social purpose. Targeted at professionals in housing, local government, and support organisations, we examined how digital tools can better inform and empower people facing financial hardship.
Led by Jeff Mitchell, founder of Quids in! Money Guidance, this session discussed:
- Current digital resources for people on low incomes and how to make them more impactful
- Opportunities in interactive and customised content, lifestyle apps, and impact measurement
- The role of AI in delivering socially useful information
- Addressing digital exclusion: Creating a “too good to miss” offer that drives engagement
Jeff says: “Print isn’t dead, and a lot of people on low incomes would still rather browse something they might pick in a doctor’s surgery than an email, but let’s face it, that ship has sailed. Whether or not the ‘digital first’ agenda has left people behind, it’s time to make sure the new normal maximises its impact on those we can engage online. Does the internet feel like it’s ‘for people like us’ or does it even speak the right language? And how can we make it a safe and exciting place for everyone to take control of their money and their wellbeing?”
