Quids in! Money Guidance is bringing a hybrid model back to Croydon, combining personalised employment support with practical money guidance.
A hybrid Quids in! Money First Employment Support Programme re-launches in Croydon in late March 2026, delivered by Clean Slate Training and Employment CIC and funded by Hyde Charitable Trust.
Running until March 2027, the programme will provide residents with a combination of accessible drop-in support and structured, in-depth coaching, helping people move closer towards and into employment, as well as strengthening their financial resilience.
Drop-in sessions will take place at locations in Waddon and New Addington, with further details outlined below.
Bringing together immediate help and longer-term support
The programme is designed to meet people where they are. Morning drop-in sessions will offer practical, one-off support for residents facing financial pressure, including help with food and energy vouchers, benefit entitlements, job searching and reducing household bills.
Alongside this, residents can be referred into a five to six week Money First Employment Support Programme, delivered either remotely or face to face. This offer provides more comprehensive, one-to-one guidance, supporting participants to build confidence, improve employability and take meaningful steps towards work.
Delivered locally with flexible access points
Support will be delivered across Croydon through a combination of in-person and remote provision:
- Second Tuesday of each month: Half-day drop-in at Waddon Leisure Centre, alongside remote support for those progressing into the full programme
- Fourth Tuesday of each month: Half-day drop-in in New Addington, with remote support available for onward referrals

Tailored coaching to remove barriers to work
Participants accessing the longer-term programme will work closely with a Quids in! Coach to develop a personalised action plan that addresses both immediate financial challenges and longer-term goals.
Coaches will use the Quids in! Job Readiness Quiz, an employment-focused version of the award-winning Money Health Check Quiz, to assess financial resilience and readiness for work. This approach ensures support is tailored, practical and focused on overcoming the specific barriers each individual faces.
The programme aims to help residents feel more confident managing their money, improve their CVs and employability, become better off financially and feel closer to entering or progressing in work.
Residents will be able to access support through local signposting or direct referral using a dedicated referral pathway. Those attending drop-in sessions can also be supported on the day to enrol into the full programme.
This funding will also enable us to run a couple of 7 Signs workshops, which are designed to help unemployed people explore different ways to think about work. Engaged participants from 7 Signs can be recruited to join the Quids in! Elements peer support programme, a 12-week placement that provides training, mentorship, and paid work experience.
