Quids in! Promise – one year on

We See You, We Hear You, We Are You is more important than ever as Quids in! eyes future growth

It’s now been a year since we launched the Quids in! Promise – We See You, We Hear You, We Are You.

The promise was devised at our first in-person all-staff meet after Covid, held in London in late April 2022.

As a team we agreed it summed up our approach to our mission and how we’re unique in the sector. Because we try to recruit directly from the communities we serve, our staff has not only expertise but empathy.

We See You

So often, policy is made by those who have no idea about the lives affected by their decisions.

It’s important to us to say to our clients that we see them, their strengths and their hopes.

But we also see their struggles, and the barriers they may face before they can move forward with their money. We want policymakers to see this side of life too.

We Hear You

We prefer listening to talking. We have to hear our clients’ stories because without that understanding we can’t hope to support them properly.

And because they need to be able to hear and understand us too, we always try to make our language as inclusive as possible.

All Quids in! articles are written in an accessible, no-nonsense way. And the content on our website can be translated into almost any language or dictated aloud for those who struggle to read.

We Are You

Lots of us on the Quids in! team were once the ones receiving our support.

They’re especially skilled in knowing what we should be doing to offer the best possible service.

It’s important to us that every person receiving our support feels like they have skills and experience that are valuable – whether that’s to Quids in! or another employer.

So, one year on from making our Promise Quids in! staff are more determined than ever that it remains at the centre of our ethos.

It gives us focus and purpose, and to our clients we hope it offers a straightforward shorthand outlining everything they can expect from us.
