Quids in! Money Guidance is expanding its reach in Bath and North East Somerset, thanks to funding from B&NES Council through the Crisis and Resilience Fund 2026/27.
The funding will help Quids in! Launch two new community drop-ins in B&NES with weekly sessions due to start from July at Radstock Library and at a local Family Hub.
This is an important opportunity to meet more residents face to face, in places they already know and trust. Some residents may only need light-touch guidance there and then. Others can be referred into the full five-to-six-week Quids in! Money Guidance programme for more in-depth coaching with a Quids in! money coach.Â
The service, delivered by Clean Slate Training & Employment CIC, has already been working with B&NES residents through remote guidance, funded by the Household Support Fund. With that funding now ended, and replaced with the Crisis and Resilience Fund, this work can continue while also growing into new community spaces.
The funding is especially meaningful in Clean Slate’s 20th anniversary year. Clean Slate began in Bath in 2006, and this new support means we can keep building on two decades of working alongside people and communities in the area.
The new funding reflects the approach at the heart of Quids in! Money Guidance: helping people deal with immediate financial pressures while building the confidence, skills and resilience to manage money in the longer term. It allows us to respond to people’s immediate needs while also helping them build longer-term resilience.
Alongside money guidance, vouchers are available for people starting and completing the programme, giving them breathing space when money is tight so they can focus on planning ahead.
The aim is simple: to help more B&NES residents feel more in control, become better off and move away from crisis point.
